About the Horses
Good horses and ponies have been an integral part of the Molloy family at Crossogue for generations. We have bred, produced and trained to high levels in Showing, Showjumping, Hunting, Eventing and Steeplechasing. Our guest enjoy a broad range of horses and ponies to choose from and we put a lot of effort into making sure you have the right horse for you, after all it is the key to a wonderful experience. All our horses are well trained to the challenges at Crossogue and this allows us to focus on the riders and the development of their skills.
We have a policy of not selling our horses which we use for our guests, so guests can enjoy their favorite horses year after year. This allows many of our regular guests who have developed a special relationship to achieve new goals on a particular horse to continue the partnership they enjoy so much. Good horses and ponies, many of whom are old friends are part of the Crossogue tradition.
About the Facilities and Accommodation
There is a large outdoor arena as well as an all weather gallop and these are complimented the trails that ramble throughout the farm. The cross country course which used to be home to a number of Eventing competitions up to national level, is now kept exclusively for our guests use and we have further developed a range of obstacles for all standards of rider. It continues to evolve with new fences constantly being built and old ones being upgraded. In contrast to jumping your way around the farm, there is a lot of peace and quiet to be found in different areas of the farm with nothing but the surrounding nature to help you relax and unwind.
Crossogue, a Listed Georgian house is constantly alive with the buzz people who enjoy all things equine, guests just become part of it all and it has a feeling of home away from home to many at this stage. Mealtimes are a focal point of the day with lively banter about the highlights of the day. Our delicious, home made cuisine is based on the use of our farm and garden produce and just let us know at the time of booking, if there are any special dietary requirements.
These two weeks have been just amazing! I love Crossogue and will miss everybody so much and Spike is just a wonderful horse!
